This coarse Portuguese salt, mined in the heart of the Ria Formosa Natural Park, is a real treasure for your kitchen. Not only will it enhance the natural flavour of your food, but it will also enrich your body with more than 80 minerals. Under the hot Portuguese sun, the seawater in the Tavira salt pans slowly evaporates, leaving behind a thin film of salt crystals. These crystals are collected by hand and dried in the sun, without any artificial additives.
The family business of Rui Francisco Neves Dias has been producing artisanal Atlantic salt and fleur de sel for more than 100 years. Thanks to the exceptional geographical location of the salt pans and the purity of the ocean water in the area, this salt boasts the highest quality.
